Permitt me att this Critical Time, to give you ye folowing Information of ye Designs of ye Enemy, itt was my duty to have wrote to ye Present Governor, butt as he has nott thought proper to Desire me to give him any accounts of Indian Affairs, since ye Defate of Gineral Braddock, I did nott Now how his honour wold take it from me, or what Creadett he wold give to such an Account, as I have nott the Lest acquaintance of his honour, But I flater my self yr honour will at lest peruse ye folowing accounts which I had from (page 484) one of ye Six Nations, who I Blive is yett a Stidey friend if there be one of ye Nation, and make such use of itt as you shall Judge proper, tho' I must Request ye favor yr honour will nott make itt publick from whome you had this Inteligance, so that neigher of ye Interpreters may have itt in their power to tell ye Indians, from whome ye Accounts came.

1st. The Six Nations, Dalaways, Shannas, Wandotts, & Twatwees, has had a Grand Council, in which itt was Determined that ye four Latter tribes should Ingage ye fruntiers of Verginia, Merreyland & Pensylvania, this Winter, and Drive ye Inhabitance over ye South Mountain, ye Six Nations, while they stand Neuter, are to make ass ye intrest they can with ye Southerd Indians, to draw them to their Intrest, and setel them on ye Ohio, as they have allready settled some of ye upper Cherikees on Kentouckey, a Creek near ye Lower Shanna town, this you may depend on for truth.

3dly. All ye Indian Tribes over ye Leaks, are to asist the French to ye Nourd against Ginrel Shirley and Ginrel Johnston.

4thly. The same Man informs me that there has been butt 8 Indians some from Ohio to Suskehanna this fall to Councel, that those 8 & ye Wayandots that was Down att Councel this fall, asisted by ye Suskehanna Indians, Don all ye Merder that was Don on Suskehanna, which I am realy Certain is ye Truth.

From ye Misfortunes I have had in Tread, which oblidges me to keep at a Greatt distance, I have itt nott in my power to forword Intelegance so soon as I could wish, however, if itt be thought worth Notice, I will acquaint the Government with any thing I can find outt that will Tend to ye hurt of my King & Country, for certainly ye Indians are only amuseing the Goverment, while they are privey, if not asisting to ye Merders done.

I have butt a Stockade fortt att Aughick, and have about 40 men with me there, butt how long I shall be able to keep itt, I realy can't tell. I am, yo'r honours,
