Sence y first Mistheff has been Don Near Fort Pitt I have been of opinion ye Dalaways has been att ye head of itt tho thire Councel Denighd itt to Calhoon, & flater My (page 166) Self that the body of ye Six Nations will Disavoy thire proceedings and as I Supose they have Given up any thoughts of Succeeding Against Fort Pitt I imagen they are Now Determind to Do all ye Mistheff they Can do on ye fronteers.
I know that all Indians have A Greatt Regard fer Each other and as there is Numbers of ye Dallayways Munceys & Mohichenders in the Several Governments I am of opinion if they Could be Saved & Secured & Some of the Most Sencable Sent out to Lett ye other Indians know that if they Did Nott imeedeatly Desist that they Should be all putt to Death itt Might put AStop to ye Sheading of Inesent Blood.
I Menshon this only to you thet if you are of opinion theth Such a Steep Should be proper in this Case you May Menshon itt to the Gineral or Sir William Johnson. I know the Indians In Gineral think More of the Loss Man then we Do of fifty however I Submitt My opinion in this Case to you as I know how Dangrouss itt is Even to hint an opinion of this Nature to a Gineral Offiser.
