From the News I have received I learn that It is decreasing there But that It has spread among all the nations, and that the Miamis and Poutouatamis Among others have lost many Persons. Brandy which they went to get from the English, has also contributed to their ruin, And I must, Monseigneur, Communicate to You what the Commandant of the Miamis has written me Respecting the extraordinary Effects of that liquor. . . .
